"The Choice" - The gentleman on the left has to make a choice:  he must complete his instrument by screwing on the violin neck or  the gun barrel to the body of his instrument.  History has shown us  that, like the infamous man on the right, the choice tends be one of violence vs violin. The  despair and agony of this choice is depicted by the crying woman .  She is located  sitting in the head of the gentleman  making the choice.  See close up picture to right.
